Galactic Marine Corps

War is a common event in human’s history. Humans are no strangers to war, it’s in their nature. From small ones such as civil wars, to large ones such as World Wars. There are many reasons for wars; Religion, Territory, Politics and much more.

But this one is unlike any other war in human history, one that will shake the human’s to their core.
They thought World War Three, a war that killed millions and turned half of the world into barren waste land, was a huge and devastating event.
That was nothing compared to this one…

This one threatens the whole of human existence...

In 2134 A.D., 52 years after WW3, the world’s top science finally discovered the ability to travel to distant stars, to travel faster then light itself. Space Travel was finally available. With this Humans began to colonise other planets.
The Grand Allied Union, all of the world’s governments combined, decreed that since they were now exploring the stars they would need a military force for space. This led to the creation of the Galactic Marine Corps. The G.M.C. quickly grew as many men and women wished to go to the stars and to protect their planet.
Also they believed that this military force would be needed in case of any hostile species out in the depth of space…

And hell, were they right…

42 years after the discovery of faster then light speed a colony world, named Sarral was attacked. They sent a distress call and G.M.C. quickly responded. But not quickly enough. By the time they got there, the colony had been destroyed and all its citizens were slaughtered, not one human was left alive.

2176 A.D The Massacre of Sarral...

The Grand Allied Union was enraged, this was the first contact of alien life and they had massacred hundreds of people. They sent a large fleet of G.M.C. warships out to the star system in hopes of finding out who was responsible for The Massacre of Sarral.

And they found them…

They were powerful. They were many. And they were stronger then us. The battle lasted twenty minutes. Half of the fleet was destroyed; the rest retreated back to Earth.
The Union, enraged further by this, gathered all available fleets and sent them back to the Sarral System…

But this time the Aliens were no where to be found…

That was 1 year ago. This is now…

The Cerberus, one of the most advanced warships in the G.M.C. Fleet has been tasked to venture out into deep space in hope of finding any trace of the aliens that attacked Sarral.
Onboard The Cerberus is the 635th Regiment, nicknamed The Sentries, the highest trained and most elite Marines in the whole of the G.M.C. They specialise in everything, from star fighter combat, to ground warfare.
Also on board is 2000 of the best Battle Cruiser Crews.
The 635th Regiment has 4000 marines, all of them the best of the best, the elite of elite and specially chosen for the mission.
Hopefully they will locate the hostile Alien race in the depths of the unknown regions of space and spy on them, gather information on them, who they are, what they want and what they plan to do next. Who knows what the aliens could be planning next? Maybe another attack on a Colony. Maybe they even plan to attack Earth?

That is our mission

Today Sergeant Joseph Michaels, leader of Beta Squad, and all the other marines of The 635th Regiment will be leaving the Earth on The Cerberus for the unknown. They do not know when or even if they will return home.

Today, their lives change forever.



This is a Sci Fi Military RP, It follows the members of Beta Squad of the 635th G.M.C. Regiment.

The Cerberus

Sergeant Joseph Michaels, leader of Beta Squad stared up at the Giant looming shape of The Cerberus, the most advanced G.M.C. Battle Cruiser made. It was a hundred or so meters away from where he stood.
It was huge, withbasically a giant flying city. It would be a home to the 2000 members of crew and the whole of The 635th Regiment, aka The Sentinels, the elite Marines, all 4000 of them.
Joseph was proud to be in their numbers.

They were in the main G.M.C Launch pad, located in the Arizona Desert. The 635th and they Crew of The Cerberus were arranged in rows, waiting till they were sent on their mission. Civilians crowded at railings around the Marines, watching the Brave Heroes as they prepared for their mission.
In front of the assembled Marines, on a raised Dias, the President of The Grand Allied Union stood, giving a long and boring speech about the Marines. Joseph had stopped listening to the speech, it was a hot day in the Arizona Desert and he couldn't be bothered listening to it. It was the kind of speech a egomaniac President writes before hand, about how the Marines are 'Noble Heroes of Earth' and 'Humanities' Last hope'.
In the long run it was just a bunch of crap the President had written to make himself look good.

With Joseph stood the members of Beta Squad, Corporal Damien Rockwell, Corporal Cain Havok and Lance Corporal Rina. He sighed and wiped at the sweat on his brow
"Damn its hot"
he murmured quietly
"How longs the pratt gonna ramble on"

Corporal Cain Havok let out a sigh."For as long as he wants to. He just putting on a show. Making it seem like we've got a chance of coming back."He chuckled."And of course giving him a chance to show just how much he cares about the lives of his soldiers before he gets back to screwing his secretary."He reached down into the his bag that he left at his feet and pulled out a beer. He handed it to Joseph with a grin on his face." If anyone asks. We're drinking to the old bastard up there." He looked around."Anyone else want one?"

Corporal Damien Rockwell stood at attention listening to the old man drone on and on then smiled as Cain brought out the beer.

" Screw the secretary?.....I heard that his secretary was a guy, and hell yeah!!!....pass that bad boy over my way already! "

Damien looked back at the podium and resisted the urge to yell at the old bastard to stuff it where the sun didn't shine. He also didn't feel like getting a court-martial via a firing squad.

"Personnaly i think that his secretary is a transexual"
Joseph chuckled and took the beer Cain handed to him
"Thanks, Corporal."
he said then flashed Cain a grin. The President stopped talking for a moment, but sadly, continued his speach. Joseph sighed.

Cain tossed Damien a beer and chuckled."I heard he fired his first one and hired a swimsuit model to be his secretary. But whatever." He sat down and groaned."This guy needs to hury up. I'm falling asleep over here."

War shifted her stance and glared up at the president "prattle on old man... prattle on" she said and looked to the others "why does he have to act to care? again?" she said sarcastically and put her hand on the handle of her whip, she shuffled impatialntly which made the machine gun on her back rattle slightly. "im not one for waiting.... never have been.... this prick better hurry...."

Joseph sighed
"Its just a way to get himself more Public favour, Lance Corporal"
he said to War. Up on the dias the Preisdent finally finished his speech then made a, what he probably thought was a, heroic pose. there was a couple flashes of light from Reporters taking photos of the egomaniac Preisdent. Joseph sighed and rolled his eyes
"Ye gods, what a git"
he said. A man wearing Marine armor with admiral markings came up onto the Dias and pushed the still posing Preisdent to the side. He cleared his throat and grabbed the microphone.
"Now that all that bullshit is over, Lets get on our mission Marines!"
The Admiral said followed by cheering from the rows of Marines. Joseph chuckled
"Good old Admiral Pendragon"
he murmured as the rows of marines started to board The Cerberus

Damien caught the beer and popped the cap eagerly then took a good chug of it then glanced back at the podium.

" About fucking bloody time the ass finished....welp onto bigger and better things my friends. "

Damien stooped then grabbed his bags and started to make his way to the Cerberus.

Cain let out a sigh."Bout fucking time." He stood up and grabbed his bag. He looked around and wondered how many of the soldiers would ever see earth again."Ah well. No use worring about that now."He followed the others to the ship.

War took one last look at the spectators and picked up her pack, there was no room on her back as the space was occupied by her gun "astalavista chumps..... well try not to die too quickly" she said then gave a small chuckle then headded into the ship.

it took ten minutes for Beta Squad to get onboard The Cerberus. Joseph turned around and smiled at his squad
"Well, Beta. orders are to get to our squad's dorm. We get one main room/lounge and sperate bed rooms each, all attached to the main room. Follow me"
he said then began to lead them through the maze of corridors

War took in the sites of the ship... locking almost every aspect she say deep into her mind "big ship" she kept close enough to not get lost but far enough to not have to lumber around in the croud

Damien followed along with the others but his mind was already reviewing the Standardized Recon Tactics Manual in his head, and one by one he went down the list and discarded those that were pure bullshit, after his review was complete he had in his mind something that if it was an actual book it would have been 3/4 lighter than the starting product.

" Hey guys, after that windbag I really need to unwind.....whaddya say to some target practice later on once our stuff is put away? "

War hurried her pace as she was falling a small ammount behind the group "the sooner we get settled the better... " she mumbled to herself.
she grinned as he herd Damien's comment "i hope that offer extends to girls two?" she said so he could hear.

"Sorry Damien, while launch we gotta stay in the dorm."
Joseph said then grinned
"but as soon as we are out of orbit i'll make sure Beta gets the pratice range all to our selves."
he said then stopped infront of a door. he slide a key card into a card reader and the door opened.
"Well, this will be our home for the mission, come on beta"
he said then stepped itside
