Honors Flight (( Temporarly Locked ))

In the year 396 c.b. the endless war between the Cintarian's (Cintara) and the Brinakoe (Brinak) has come to a raging standstill.

Since the wars beginning 54 years prior, the Brinakoe's single minded determination of genocide against the Cintarian's has pushed them near the breaking point, in a last ditch effort to stave off the enemy the Cintarian High Command (CHC) has broken down old barriers by drafting women to it's cause and devised a new strategy to fight the Brinakoe.....namely the use of airborne troops.

This Rp follows the exploits of one of these new airborne platoons, The Roughnecks (2nd platoon) of Romeo Company.

The Rp Starting point will take place in the Brighton Airstrip where the newly formed Romeo Company is preparing for it's first jump into combat.

Note: This Rp is set in a WWII type time period, the weapons, the craft, the overall feel is slightly like the game series Call of Duty.

Rules:

1) No godmoding.
2) No god-clipping. (in other words there's no such thing as unlimited ammunition, use realistic ammo consumption please)
3) No controlling another persons character. (unless they give their consent)
4) No killing another person's character. (unless they give their consent)
5) There is a Two Post minimum before a grenade goes off (note: you can avoid this by 'cooking' the grenade for a post then throwing it on the next)

Honors Flight - Sign Up Sheet

The heavy rain came down in waves and soaked the soldiers through to the skin, despite their heavy drop gear. The sound of officer's screaming at rows of troops to 'get their sorry asses onto the Damn planes' was heard with increasing frequency.

Sgt. Danvers watched as the last of his platoon struggled to get themselves onto their DC-5 and turned to Lt. Byrd.

"Sir.....this should be the last of them."

Lt. Byrd nodded and glanced off to the east where the first of the DC-5's was taking off.

With the clomping sound of heavy hobnail combat boots, Private First Class Thomas Price past Sgt. Danvers and Lt. Byrd. His long trench coat was hung over his shoulder and his lucky mask was placed lazily on the side of his head, leaving his face in view, reaveling a split, and bloody, lip.
"Sorry i'm Late Sirs."
he says, pulling of a lazy salute then heads onto the plane.

Sgt. Danvers nudged Lt. Byrd in the side and Byrd looked at Price then scowled.

"Sharper salutes Private.....and you better have won that fight!"....Byrd smile's when he sees Danvers roll his eyes.

Pfc. Price nodded slightly and gives Lt. Byrd an apologetic look
"Sorry sir, feeling a bit sluggish, punched in the head, don't worry though, getting better fast"
he said then grinned
"Yeah, the other guys are in worse conditions. I didn't do anything fatal or broke anything though"

Wrinn stood at the enterence of the plane in the rain for a moment longer trying hard to decide wether she liked it or not.. she looked up and closed her eyes and let the droplets run off her face... she couldent decide... it all felt so neutral to her.. she turned towards the Sgt. and the Lt and gave a salute.. with that she turned around and hedded into the plane she stood in the doorway for a second and sat down she took out a canteen and took a swig of it.. she strapped it back to her side and looked infront of her.. showing a bored slightly lost look.. the same look she had since that faitfull day day...

"that's the last of them Sir"

Danvers tells Lt. Byrd then the two of them board the DC-5, after which the pilot begins taxiing them out onto the runway.

Lt. Byrd: " All Right, listen up we've got a three hour flight to the front at which point the 2nd and 4th divisions are going to start their offensive across the frontlines, we're hoping to push them to Hamton.....where Romeo Company and the others Will be lying in wait for them."

OOC> The area we're heading to has a European feel to it.

Pfc. Price nodded then grinned
"i love the frontlines. best place"
he said grinning then pulled his PPSH-41 out and began cleaning it

Wrinn sat back <oh boy... a three hour flight... plenty of time to do nothing> Wrinn took the walther pp handgun thet was strapped to her side and checked it.. she put it back and did the same to the one that was strapped to her leg... she noticed Pfc. Price cleaning his gun, she looked down at her canteen <no use waiting to drink the rest of it> she unstrapped it and took a swig.. there was still some left she held it up and offered some to Price 'itll be a long trip... best enjoy it..' she said.... her expression unchanging

Pfc. Price looked up and smiled.
"Ah, thank you, Miss"
he said then gratefullly takes the canteen, took a small sip, and handed it to Wrinn

wrinn took the canteen back and nodded then strapped it back in place.. she looked at his mask 'and that?' subconsiously she gripped the dogtag she had around her neck... instead of her name on it it had James Kinweve written on it.. it looked rather old but besides a little rust here and there it was carefully polished and looked after...

Pfc Price smiled and held up his mask
"This? its an lucky charm of mine."
he said, his finger gently tracing the markings on it

Wrinn looked at it again she sighed and looked infront of her thinking on times past... from the front two soldiers could be heard whispering to each other... 'her?... thats just stoneface.. dont even bother striking up a conversation...' Wrinn heard their remark 'and i bet you had it easy all your life... nice comfy homes... good old roof over your head.. i guess the hardest thing thats happend to you is the army... mark my words mamma's boys... don't take this seriously and youll end up in an unmarked grave... like so many others' she said in a calm almost depressing voice... the two men hushed and remained silent after a short comment of 'see what i mean'...

Price rolled his eyes at the two soldiers then made a rude gesture at them then turned back to Wrinn
"just ignore them, they are idiots"

wrinn looked at Price 'dont worry about it.. it dosn't wory me...' she sat back in her chair and pulled out one of her walther pp handgun's and positioned it so the light shone in the other soldiers eyes... as he looked back she flicked her wrist and put it back in place 'i wonder when this war will finally be over' she mumbled softly....

Cal stretched and sighed. He was growing tired of planes. He wanted to get on the battle field as soon as possible. He looked over at the girl who had munbled something about the war ending."This war won't end any time soon. If it was going to it would have a long time ago."

Wrinn looked over at Cal 'nothings imposible... this might just weaken them enough so we have the upper hand.. instead of this stalemate'

Cal chuckled."Yeah right. That's what they've always said. Chances are this plan will fail as badly as the last one. The only possible way for this to end. Is for both sides to drop their weapons and that's not going to happen anytime soon."

Wrinn sat back when she hered Cal's words 'it starts small... all you kneed is for one person on either side to do that... it happned.. but instead of going with it as an act of pece.. it was treated as treason....' she sighed and gripped the dogtag again felt the engravings then let go of it again

Cal watched as Wrinn held the dogtag."Oh yeah. That's right. It was your parents wasn't it? Yeah i think i've heard about that. Shame what happened. But that's the kind of world we live in. Nothing to do but get over it and move on."

Thomas Price woke from his light doze and glanced around.
"Hey Bullet"
He said, looking at Cal.

"All right we're nearing the drop point, gear up and strap in..."

Lt. Byrd and Sgt. Danvers take up their positions at the head of the plane and begin looking over their platoon's gear.

Price nodded then grinned, resting his PPsh-41 across his legs
"fun time"
he said softly

Lt. Byrd check's the last of the gear and the drop light goes green and Byrd has the line of soldiers start jumping out of the DC-5.

" All right ladies....Move Move Move"

Wrinn closed her eyes and moved to the end of the line she took out her canteen and took the last final swig of it and threw it away
'heres hoping this works' she took a slight glance at the others then stepped forward
